1. Creation and activity of the department
The chair was founded in 2000 in the Mingachevir branch of ATI. Although the name and composition of the department has changed many times since its inception, professional staff and educators have been attracted to better educate foreign (English, German, French, Russian) languages and improve the quality of education.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed the Decree on 24 July 2015. According to the Decree, amendments to the Decree No. 349 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 13 June 2000 on the annulment of the Mingachevir, Salyan and Sumgayit branches of the Azerbaijan Teachers Institute and the improvement of the education system in the Republic of Azerbaijan are planned.
Mingachevir State University has been established on the basis of Mingachevir Polytechnic Institute with the corresponding decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 24.07.2015. Material and technical base of Mingachevir branch of Azerbaijan Teachers Institute is included in Mingachevir State University. Accordingly, the reorganized foreign language department restored its activity in September 2016 by the order of the rector of the university.
After the foundation of the university, the chair was headed by philologist, honored teacher Ismayilov Mayil Yolchu. Since 2017, the head of the department is Ph.D., associate professor Azizova Zenfira Mirsafar.
Currently, the department employs 2 associate professors, 1 PhD, 2 assistant professors, 2 Ph.D., senior teacher, 7 senior teachers and 12 teachers, 2 laboratory assistants and 1 operator.
3 of the teachers of the department continue their research work as dissertators in various institutes of ANAS.
The problems of the scientific-research work on "Application of innovative innovations in teaching foreign languages in the conditions of globalization" are investigated in the department for two years in 2016-2020.
2. Guidance (brief information about the head of the department)
Azizova Zenfira Mirsafar was born in 1958 in Mingachevir. After graduating from secondary education, he entered the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in honor of the 50th anniversary of the USSR in 1976 and in 1981 he received a degree in English and French languages.
He received a free assignment and started working as a French teacher at secondary school # 65 in Kyiv, Ukraine in the same year. In 1985, the military family moved to Czechoslovakia and worked as an English teacher at secondary school # 82 in Komarno until the end of 1990. He lived in the Republic of Belorussia from late 1990 to 1991.
After returning to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the end of 1991, he continued his pedagogical activity as an English teacher at the Russian secondary school named after Cuvarli in Fuzuli region.
Since 1992, she has worked as an English teacher at the Department of Languages at Mingachevir Polytechnic Institute.
In 1993, he entered the dissertation of the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, defending his dissertation on the theme "Effective ways of national-spiritual education of pupils in the IX-XI grades of secondary general education schools" (on the basis of materials of public humanitarian subjects) Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D.
By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 29, 2007, he was given the title of associate professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.
In 2001-2015 AMI worked as the head of the Department of Pedagogy and Social Sciences at Mingachevir branch.
In 2015, by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan AMI worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Social and Natural Sciences of Mingachevir State University on the basis of Mingachevir branch liquidation and Mingachevir Polytechnic Institute.
In September, 2017 he was appointed as the head of Foreign Languages Department of Mingachevir State University.
The four-month course for teachers at the International Youth Center organized by the British Consulate in the Open Society Institute in 1999, and the "Testing, Evaluation and Testing" at the Lydz University in England in the same year, and in 2002, for a specific purpose "in the resource center.
In October 2004, he graduated from the "Education Management and Management" course at the Azerbaijan Teachers Institute of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Baku) and received the status of Teacher of the Teacher on pedagogical and psychological basis of Education.
In 2005, the "Step by Step" program included "Inclusive Learning Methods", "Active and Interactive Training / Teaching Methods", in 2006, "Teaching Inclusive Training Methods at the University Improvement Course" (AMI Baku city).
She has successfully participated as a pilot High School Representative in the Project "Development of Curriculum in Teacher Training in Azerbaijan" funded by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) in 2006 and financed by the Education Department of the United States Department of State.
In 2007, she prepared a two-year National Teacher Training course (Baku), organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education, the Azerbaijan Teachers' Institute and the British Consulate, and developed an English curriculum for professional development courses.
Participated in an international seminar on "Basics of personality-humanist approach to children in the educational process" organized by the Educational Technologies Center in Baku in 2014.
Author of 1 textbook, 1 monograph, 1 methodical recommendation, 2 textbooks, 12 methodical aids, 65 scientific articles and theses.
He is married. She has 2 children.
