Cooperation between Azerbaijan and T\u00fcrkiye in the fields of science and education is entering a new stage. On October 17, 2025, within the framework of an official visit to T\u00fcrkiye, a delegation led by the Rector of Mingachevir State University (MSU), Anar Eminov, met with the Rector of OST\u0130M Technical University, Professor Murat Yulek, and the university\u2019s senior leadership in Ankara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, Rector A.Eminov highlighted MSU\u2019s recent internationalization initiatives, the development of an innovation-oriented academic environment, and the university\u2019s strategic focus on strengthening university\u2013industry collaboration. He emphasized that cooperation with OST\u0130M Technical University represents an important step toward integrating MSU\u2019s educational and research activities with real industrial and technological ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rector Eminov also noted that MSU\u2019s academic staff and students are expected to benefit from OST\u0130M\u2019s extensive network of more than 6,000 industrial enterprises. In addition, he expressed the university\u2019s intention to establish joint laboratories and underlined the particular importance of this partnership for Mingachevir as one of Azerbaijan\u2019s major industrial centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Professor M.Yulek provided detailed information about OST\u0130M Technical University\u2019s \u201cUniversity Within Industry\u201d model and expressed confidence that this approach could be successfully implemented through joint initiatives with MSU. He highly appreciated MSU\u2019s development potential in engineering, applied sciences, and innovation, noting that the partnership would create valuable opportunities for both institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary objective of the Memorandum is to expand cooperation in education, scientific research, innovation, and industry engagement. Within this framework, the parties agreed to collaborate on the establishment of joint laboratories in applied sciences and engineering, the creation of shared platforms between technoparks and innovation centers, the organization of startup and entrepreneurship training programs, the implementation of dual and joint degree programs, and the facilitation of academic exchange and summer internship opportunities. The agreement also envisages the application of the \u201cUniversity\u2013Industry\u201d model at MSU, as well as the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and scientific events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the signing ceremony, the delegation visited the campus of OST\u0130M Technical University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The representatives of MSU highly appreciated the university\u2019s modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, research centers, and its infrastructure closely integrated with industrial enterprises.
