On February 26, 2026, the winners of the essay competition dedicated to the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide were determined at Mingachevir State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main purpose of organizing the competition was to strengthen young people\u2019s historical memory, promote the truth about Khojaly, and increase their commitment to national and moral values. In their essays, students expressed the pain and suffering of the Khojaly tragedy, the hardships experienced by our people, and the call for justice from their own perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the results of the competition, an award ceremony was held at the university with the participation of the Rector, Anar Eminov, to honor the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, the Rector emphasized that the Khojaly genocide is one of the most tragic and painful pages in the history of the Azerbaijani people, and stated that such events contribute to strengthening patriotism among young people, ensuring that historical truths are not forgotten, and passing them on to future generations. He noted that preserving national memory and promoting historical justice is a moral duty of every young person. The Rector congratulated the students who actively participated in the competition and highly appreciated their patriotic stance and literary creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the competition results, MDU students Tural Nagizade won first place, Zeynab Mehralizade won second place, and Nuray Abdullayeva and Fatima Jalilova shared third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Certificates were presented to the winning and distinguished students, and commemorative photos were taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
