A startup competition titled \u201cStimulating Economic Growth through Technological Solutions\u201d was organized at Mingachevir State University (MSU) with the aim of supporting economic development through technological innovation, promoting youth entrepreneurship initiatives, and stimulating economic growth based on modern technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was jointly organized by the Departments of Economics and IT of MSU. The competition provided students with broad opportunities to propose innovative, technology-based solutions to challenges in various sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the competition, participants developed startup projects aligned with the requirements of the digital economy. The teams presented innovative solutions in areas such as the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of e-commerce platforms, automation of production processes, software solutions for efficient resource management, and financial technologies (FinTech). The projects were evaluated in terms of both technological innovation and economic efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main objective of the event was to enhance students\u2019 ability to approach economic processes from a technological perspective and to encourage them to propose innovative ideas aimed at solving real economic problems. Working in teams, participants developed their ideas from the conceptual stage to business models and delivered presentations substantiating their market potential and economic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the final stage of the competition, participating teams presented their projects to a jury composed of representatives from the Departments of Economics and IT. The evaluation was based on key criteria such as innovativeness, quality of technological solutions, potential contribution to economic growth, applicability, and sustainability of the business model. The most promising ideas selected by the jury were specially recognized, and participants were provided with valuable recommendations regarding their further development, including potential inclusion in incubation programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
