A seminar on \u201cInvasive Species and Ecosystem Balance\u201d was held at Mingachevir State University for first-year students majoring in Chemistry and Biology Teaching, delivered by Aliye Mirzayeva, a lecturer at the Department of Physics and Ecology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main objective of the seminar was to provide students with knowledge about the key factors threatening biodiversity, the impact of invasive species on ecosystems, and modern approaches in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, it was emphasized that invasive species are not only \u201cforeign\u201d species but also a serious threat to ecosystems. It was noted that, in addition to disrupting ecological balance, these species cause significant damage to the global economy, with annual losses exceeding 400 billion US dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
