On February 12, 2026, the fourth module of the 5-day international training program at Mingachevir State University was successfully conducted. The module, \u201cVR, AR Technologies, Video, Simulation, and Interactive Content,\u201d aimed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge on applying virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies in higher education, building simulation-based learning models, and creating interactive digital content. The training focused on expanding the use of innovative technologies in higher education, promoting AI-supported visual and interactive learning environments, and strengthening the practical skills of teachers. 93 participants attended the module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The module was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Aid\u0259 Mustafayeva, Ph.D. in Engineering, Department of Information Technology. Sessions were conducted online via Microsoft Teams, starting at 11:00 and 15:00 Azerbaijan time (10:00 and 14:00 Turkey time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The keynote speaker was Dr. Mehmet Sevri from Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan University. During the first session, topics such as creating video and visual educational content, developing lesson videos and animations using AI tools, scenario-based learning approaches, and integrating VR and AR technologies into the teaching process were presented in detail. During the practical simulation from 12:00\u201312:30, participants created interactive content using real examples and improved their skills in structuring visual materials for educational purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second session focused on the design of simulation and interactive learning environments, building simulation models for teaching purposes, creating AI-supported adaptive learning environments, integrating hybrid learning systems, and evaluation mechanisms. During the practical session from 16:00\u201316:30, participants carried out interactive activities applying scenario-based and AI-supported models and executed practical tasks for building simulation-based educational environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overall, the fourth module of the international training program played a significant role in deepening digital transformation in higher education, promoting innovative pedagogical approaches, and enhancing the technological competencies of faculty members.
