Mingachevir State University organized the \u201cWater Consumption in Agriculture \u2013 Innovation Hackathon\u201d to promote the efficient use of water resources in the agricultural sector, develop innovative approaches to water scarcity challenges in the context of climate change, and enhance students\u2019 skills in creating practical solutions. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Mechanics and the Lifelong Learning School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the hackathon, participants analyzed existing challenges related to water use in agriculture, including water losses, inefficient irrigation methods, improper resource management, and the impact of climatic factors. To address these issues, the teams worked on technology-based projects aimed at optimizing water consumption and developing practical, implementable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The projects presented by participants included smart irrigation systems, real-time water monitoring using sensor and IoT technologies, digital platforms for effective water resource planning, and mechanical and technological solutions to increase water efficiency in agriculture. These approaches focused on improving precision in water use and minimizing losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key distinguishing feature of the event was the application of participants\u2019 theoretical knowledge to real agricultural challenges and the development of projects based on a multidisciplinary approach. Teams created comprehensive solutions that considered technical justification, economic efficiency, and long-term sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
