Scientific research activities in the fields of the green economy and sustainable development continue to expand at Mingachevir State University. The university\u2019s latest scientific initiative is dedicated to the protection of the Caspian coastal ecosystems, the assessment of anthropogenic impacts, and the scientific investigation of environmental threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the project titled \u201cVisual-Microscopic Comparative Study of Sand, Vegetation Cover, and Anthropogenic Particles in Protected and Public Use Zones of the Caspian Coast in the Context of the Green Economy,\u201d field observations, laboratory analyses of collected samples, and microscopic evaluations are being carried out. The primary objective of the research is to determine the level of microplastics and other anthropogenic pollutants in coastal zones, assess ecological risks, and contribute scientifically to sustainable coastal management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is being implemented by MSU Associate Professor and Faculty Dean Nushaba Gadimli together with MSU master\u2019s student and young researcher Ulvi Mammadov. The study, which applies modern laboratory methodologies, contributes to strengthening student\u2013research collaboration at the university and encourages the active involvement of young researchers in sustainable development initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
