Female students of Mingachevir State University (MSU) joined the participants of the Baku\u2013Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Tour organized within the framework of the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), supported by the United Nations, along the route passing through the city of Mingachevir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The international cycling initiative, held on May 10\u201314, 2026, aimed to promote the ideas of sustainable urban development, green mobility, eco-friendly transportation, healthy lifestyles, and the reduction of carbon emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized within the framework of MSU\u2019s \u201cGreen Campus\u201d strategy, the participation played an important role in strengthening environmental responsibility at the university, promoting cycling culture among students, encouraging the use of alternative transportation, and supporting the principles of sustainable urbanization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the cycling event, MSU\u2019s female students, together with local residents, demonstrated solidarity in promoting green city concepts, environmentally responsible behavior, healthy and active lifestyles, as well as environmentally conscious mobility culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University has recently implemented numerous initiatives aimed at green campus management, environmental awareness, sustainable development goals, healthy lifestyles, and the creation of a low-carbon campus environment. The expansion of cycling infrastructure on campus, the promotion of eco-friendly transportation among students, and the development of a green mobility culture hold a special place among MSU\u2019s international sustainability- and innovation-oriented strategic priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
