The \u201cRead for Tomorrow \u2013 Mingachevir State University Sustainable Book Fair,\u201d which promotes the values of science, enlightenment, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development, is being held at Mingachevir State University. Taking place from May 20 to 22, 2026, the fair aims to foster a reading culture within the university\u2019s educational environment, improve access to knowledge resources, and further strengthen intellectual ties between the university and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the fair, publications from more than 10 bookstores and publishing houses are being presented to MSU\u2019s academic and administrative staff, students, master\u2019s students, as well as the public of Mingachevir city. Covering a wide range of fields, the books contribute to knowledge exchange in science, education, literature, innovation, environmental awareness, social development, and contemporary worldviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the opening ceremony, MSU Rector Anar Eminov emphasized that books are not only a source of knowledge but also an important tool in building a sustainable and responsible society. He noted that universities should contribute not only to training qualified professionals, but also to shaping thoughtful, lifelong learners and citizens who are sensitive to the environment and public welfare. He highlighted that such initiatives implemented at MSU are of great importance in terms of lifelong learning, social inclusivity, expanding the intellectual environment, and strengthening the model of a sustainable university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anar Eminov also stressed that book fairs on university campuses not only increase academic engagement, but also serve society by promoting knowledge sharing among different age groups and social segments, contributing to public enlightenment, fostering a healthy culture of critical thinking, and encouraging a responsible outlook toward the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative organized at MSU is considered another example of the university\u2019s commitment to the principles of an open knowledge platform, social partnership, and a sustainable campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the fair, meetings with poets and writers, book signing ceremonies, book discussions, reading sessions, and various educational activities aimed at creating an interactive literary environment are also planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
