On March 11, 2026, a training session on the topic \u201cLabor Legislation and Employment Rights\u201d was organized by the Department of Humanities of Mingachevir State University with the aim of increasing students\u2019 legal awareness. The training was conducted by Huseyn Asgarov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities and Doctor of Philosophy in Law. Students from various specialties of the university participated in the event and gained information about current issues related to labor rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the training, the legal foundations of labor relations, the main principles of labor legislation, and the regulation of legal relations between employees and employers were explained in detail. In his speech, Huseyn Asgarov emphasized that it is extremely important for young people to know their rights and responsibilities in the modern labor market. In this regard, students were provided with detailed information about the procedures for concluding labor contracts, types of labor contracts, legal procedures required during employment, and the importance of formalizing labor relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the training, information was also provided on the regulation of working and rest hours, leave rights, rules for salary payments, social protection mechanisms for employees, as well as workplace safety and labor protection issues. In addition, extensive explanations were presented regarding the legal resolution of disputes arising in labor relations, mechanisms for protecting employees\u2019 rights, and the role of state institutions in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training was held in an interactive discussion format, during which students asked questions related to real-life situations they might encounter in labor relations and exchanged views on issues of interest to them. Practical examples and analyses of real labor relations cases presented by the lecturer helped students better understand the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the training, it was emphasized that organizing such awareness-raising events plays an important role in increasing students\u2019 legal knowledge, helping them properly establish labor relations in their future professional activities, and protecting their rights.
