On February 25, 2026, a seminar titled \u201cKhojaly Genocide \u2013 The Bloody Night of History, the Unforgotten Cry\u201d dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide was held at Mingachevir State University under the organization of the Faculty of Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opening the seminar, Almaz Aliyeva, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, stated that the Khojaly tragedy left an indelible mark on the memory of the Azerbaijani people and emphasized the importance of conveying this tragedy to the international community and accurately transmitting historical truths to younger generations. Later, Jeyhun Mahmudov, Advisor on the Organization and Management of the Educational Process at the university, described the Khojaly Genocide as a grave crime against humanity and highlighted the significance of ensuring that these events are never forgotten and are passed on to future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the seminar, Matanat Mammadova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, delivered a speech titled \u201cMemories Related to Khojaly,\u201d sharing her personal recollections from the years when she worked as a teacher in Khojaly during that period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elsevar Jafarov, a lecturer at the Department of Energy Engineering, presented a report titled \u201cFrom Khojaly to Victory: The Delayed but Realized Path of Justice,\u201d speaking about the efforts made to promote the voice of truth of the Azerbaijani people at the international level and to restore historical justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aysel Bayramova, a lecturer at the Department of Physics and Ecology, delivered a presentation titled \u201cThe Khojaly Tragedy: From an Unforgotten Past to a Bright Future,\u201d discussing the historical and political essence of the tragedy and its role in fostering patriotism among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elgiz Mahmudov, a lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies, presented a report titled \u201cThe Khojaly Genocide: The Bloody Memory of History and the Call for Justice,\u201d emphasizing the importance of promoting the truths about Khojaly more widely in the international information space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the event, a short video dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy was screened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the seminar, participants honored the memory of the victims of the Khojaly Genocide with deep respect, once again emphasizing that this tragedy will never be forgotten and that historical truths must be conveyed to future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that the Khojaly Genocide is one of the most tragic pages in the history of Azerbaijan. During the night of February 25\u201326, 1992, this brutal massacre carried out by Armenian armed forces resulted in the merciless killing of hundreds of civilians, while thousands of people were injured or taken captive.
