On February 13, 2026, within the framework of the \u201cQuality, Sustainability and Innovation in Education Forum\u201d hosted by Mingachevir State University, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the university and the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The memorandum was signed by the Rector of Mingachevir State University, Anar Eminov, and the Director of the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy, Rahman Rasulzada, laying the foundation for long-term and systematic cooperation between the parties in the fields of science, education, and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the document, the parties will jointly cooperate in establishing educational collaboration in robotics, engineering, artificial intelligence, programming, and STEM fields, implementing scientific research and innovation projects, as well as carrying out joint activities in personnel training, professional development, and skills enhancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the memorandum, specialists, lecturers, and experts from MSU and AREA will be mutually involved in teaching and project activities. The agreement also envisages organizing seminars, forums, conferences, hackathons, and short-term training programs, as well as creating opportunities for students to participate in practical sessions, laboratory work, and project-based learning. In addition, the preparation and implementation of joint scientific research and innovation projects, along with the exchange of experience in educational technologies and innovative teaching methods, will become one of the key directions of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special importance is attached to the development of the lifelong learning model within the cooperation framework. In this regard, the School of Lifelong Education, a structural unit of Mingachevir State University, will serve as the main implementing platform for organizing joint training and certification programs, participant registration, assessment, and certification processes. It is planned to organize certification programs in robotics, artificial intelligence, programming, and engineering, as well as short-term professional development and retraining programs for professionals and industry representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The memorandum also includes significant initiatives such as the establishment of an AREA branch in Mingachevir, the organization of STEM-based preparatory courses for schoolchildren and youth in the region, the use of the university\u2019s laboratories and workshop facilities during international and local robotics competitions, and the implementation of mentored robotics training programs for MSU teachers and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that this cooperation coincides with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Mingachevir State University and the 10th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy in 2026.
