{"id":96478,"date":"2025-11-21T18:04:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T15:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mdu.edu.az\/?p=96478"},"modified":"2026-05-23T18:05:54","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T15:05:54","slug":"environmental-awareness-meeting-held-at-mingachevir-state-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdu.edu.az\/en\/environmental-awareness-meeting-held-at-mingachevir-state-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental Awareness Meeting Held at Mingachevir State University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An awareness meeting titled <em>\u201cThe Role of Proper Waste Management and Recycling for Sustainable Development\u201d<\/em> was organized at Mingachevir State University with the aim of increasing students\u2019 environmental knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, Sayyara Mammadova, Head of the Ecological Awareness and Communication Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan; Mehman Nabiyev, Sector Head of the Ecological Policy Department; and Sayyaf Rustamli, Sector Head of the Environmental and Occupational Safety Department of Tamiz Shahar OJSC, delivered speeches and presented comprehensive presentations for the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the impact of proper waste management on ecological balance, the importance of recycling and waste sorting, principles of efficient use of natural resources, existing environmental protection challenges, and the measures being implemented in this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main purpose of the event was to strengthen environmental culture and awareness among students, enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of waste management, and support young people in becoming more active and initiative-driven participants in environmental activities.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An awareness meeting titled \u201cThe Role of Proper Waste Management and Recycling for Sustainable Development\u201d was organized at Mingachevir State University with the aim of increasing students\u2019 environmental knowledge.
