On June 10, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University and Mingachevir Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Memorandum was signed by Natavan Namazova, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at Mingachevir State University, and Anar Ismayilov, Chairman of Mingachevir Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main purpose of the Memorandum is to establish long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between the university and the local self-government body in the fields of education, scientific research, innovation, personnel training, social initiatives, and local governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the Memorandum, it is planned to involve MSU students in internships at Mingachevir Municipality, determine master\u2019s students\u2019 dissertation topics in line with the municipality\u2019s areas of activity, and conduct joint research in the fields of local governance, regional development, social policy, economics, and urban planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cooperation will also contribute to expanding career opportunities for students and graduates, enhancing their practical knowledge and skills, organizing training and professional development programs for municipal employees, and promoting knowledge exchange in project management, strategic planning, and local governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Natavan Namazova stated that one of the university\u2019s key priorities is to strengthen the integration of teaching and scientific activities with the real sector, public institutions, and local governance structures. In this regard, cooperation with Mingachevir Municipality will make an important contribution to the application of students\u2019 theoretical knowledge in a practical environment, the implementation of research related to the city\u2019s socio-economic development, and the university\u2019s more active participation in city life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anar Ismayilov, Chairman of Mingachevir Municipality, noted that this cooperation with the university will create new opportunities for applying scientific approaches in local governance, increasing young people\u2019s participation in public processes, integrating innovative ideas into the urban environment, and organizing municipal activities more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Memorandum also places special emphasis on areas such as the implementation of social and public projects, the organization of volunteer programs, environmental awareness, urban improvement, digitalization, and support for startup initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The parties plan to support the more systematic and result-oriented development of university\u2013city cooperation by organizing joint conferences, forums, seminars, roundtables, and expert meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
