On July 3, 2026, a delegation from Mingachevir State University visited Hacettepe University, located in Ankara, as part of its business visit to the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main purpose of the visit was to expand academic cooperation opportunities between Mingachevir State University and Hacettepe University, to develop new educational initiatives in sports sciences and water sports, to study Hacettepe University\u2019s experience in this field, and to discuss a future joint action plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting held at Hacettepe University, the MSU delegation was received by the Rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit G\u00fcran. The parties exchanged views on strengthening international cooperation in higher education, expanding academic experience exchange, developing new specialties and programs in line with labor market demands, as well as exploring broader areas of partnership between the two universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special attention was paid to the development of new academic directions in sports sciences and water sports at MSU, taking into account the water basin potential of Mingachevir, as well as the natural opportunities created by the Kura River and the Mingachevir Reservoir. It was noted that this direction is important not only in terms of creating new specialties and educational opportunities, but also in promoting a healthy lifestyle, strengthening students\u2019 physical well-being, building a sustainable campus culture, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to benefit from Hacettepe University\u2019s academic and practical experience in this field, the initial steps for developing relevant programs, the preparation of curricula, expert support, and the determination of future cooperation mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the visit, the MSU delegation also visited Hacettepe University\u2019s Faculty of Sport Sciences. During the familiarization with the faculty\u2019s educational and practical opportunities, sports equipment, training infrastructure, and applied learning environment, the delegation studied modern approaches in sports sciences, students\u2019 practical training, and the establishment of a healthy lifestyle and active campus model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In discussions with the faculty leadership and academic staff, the parties reviewed possible activities to be carried out at MSU in the field of sports sciences and water sports, the academic and infrastructural requirements necessary for organizing the educational process, as well as future cooperation formats. Based on the preliminary agreement, it was considered appropriate for specialists from Hacettepe University in the relevant field to visit Mingachevir State University, become familiar with the existing opportunities on site, and prepare a package of proposals for the development of this new direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the leadership of Hacettepe University also expressed interest in expanding cooperation with MSU not only in sports sciences and water sports, but also in other academic fields. The parties exchanged views on developing joint educational initiatives, academic mobility, experience exchange, joint projects, and institutional partnership opportunities in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
