Mingachevir State University (MSU) hosted discussions on expanding university\u2013industry cooperation, directing relations with the business community towards the career development of students and graduates, and managing partnership opportunities more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the discussions, Gurban Gurbanzaade, Deputy Head of MSU\u2019s Department of Business Relations and Alumni Engagement, delivered a presentation providing detailed information about the University\u2019s partnership ecosystem, the activities implemented to date, and the initiatives planned for the next period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presentation noted that Mingachevir State University currently maintains cooperation with more than 450 enterprises and organisations. The University\u2019s partnership network includes private companies, state bodies and public legal entities, non-governmental organisations, associations, business unions, media organisations, educational institutions, and international organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was highlighted that MSU\u2019s partner enterprises and organisations represent a broad range of sectors, including information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, digital technologies, education and training, human capital development, agriculture and agribusiness, construction, engineering, industry, energy, finance, banking, insurance, auditing, media and communications, ecology, water resources, sustainable development, tourism, hospitality, logistics, transport, advertising, and the creative industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, Gurban Gurbanzaade emphasised that university\u2013industry cooperation should not be limited to increasing the number of partners but should be transformed into concrete and measurable outcomes for students and graduates. In this regard, mapping the internship and work-placement opportunities offered by partner enterprises according to academic specialisations, promptly communicating vacancies to students and graduates, and organising mentoring meetings with company executives, human resources professionals, and technical experts were identified as key areas of activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was stated that significant work has already been carried out within the framework of cooperation, including engaging students in industrial placements and internship programmes, organising industry visits to enterprises, holding meetings with employers, presenting career and employment opportunities, arranging training sessions, seminars, and masterclasses, sharing vacancy announcements, and implementing various social, scientific, and innovative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presentation also highlighted that the University\u2019s partnership portfolio contributes to enriching the educational process with practical content. The involvement of business representatives in teaching activities, masterclasses, seminars, and meetings enables students to become closely acquainted with real working environments, modern technologies, production processes, and labour market requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The importance of university\u2013industry cooperation for the development of applied research was also emphasised. Joint research, innovative projects, and practical solutions with partner enterprises in the fields of energy, information technologies, artificial intelligence, water resources, ecology, sustainable development, and regional economics were identified among the priorities for the coming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the next stage, MSU plans to transition its partnership database to a modern and measurable management model. For this purpose, information on the fields of activity of partner enterprises, designated contact persons, the current status of cooperation, available internship programmes, and vacancies is expected to be consolidated within a unified electronic database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The discussions noted that Mingachevir State University\u2019s partnership ecosystem, encompassing more than 450 enterprises and organisations, represents an important strategic resource supporting the University\u2019s activities in education, research, innovation, career development, and regional development. Directing this potential towards the professional development of students and graduates, expanding their employment opportunities, and supporting their better-prepared integration into the labour market remains one of the University\u2019s main priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
