On 11 July 2026, during the closing ceremony of the 5th \u201cCyber Summer School 2026\u201d cyber summer camp, Rector of Mingachevir State University Anar Eminov delivered a speech on the current state of university\u2013industry cooperation, the activities carried out in this area, and the opportunities created by the university\u2019s expanding partnership network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rector Anar Eminov stated that Mingachevir State University places particular importance on cooperation with representatives of both the public and private sectors in order to train highly qualified specialists who meet the modern requirements of the labour market, strengthen the practical content of academic programmes, and enhance the university\u2019s role in the socioeconomic development of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was noted that Mingachevir State University currently cooperates with more than 350 institutions and organizations. This extensive partnership network includes government bodies, private companies, industrial and manufacturing enterprises, financial institutions, information technology and cybersecurity companies, educational and research institutions, public associations, and other organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anar Eminov emphasized that these partnerships are not limited to expanding institutional relations but also create new development opportunities for the university\u2019s staff, students, and graduates. The cooperation framework provides for the implementation of joint projects, the organization of training sessions and seminars, industrial internships, the involvement of experts and professionals in the teaching process, the expansion of laboratory and research opportunities, and support for the employment of students and graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was stated that university\u2013industry cooperation enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real working environments, become closely acquainted with labour market requirements, and develop their professional skills. Students are provided with opportunities to participate in internship programmes, information tours, mentoring projects, career events, competitions, and training sessions at partner institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anar Eminov noted that university\u2013industry cooperation is of particular importance for the development of education in the region. He stated that the expansion of Mingachevir State University\u2019s relations with institutions and organizations operating in the region enables the needs of the local labour market to be identified more accurately, academic programmes to be adapted to those needs, and qualified specialists required by the region to be trained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, such cooperation increases access for young people in the region to modern knowledge and skills and allows them to benefit from high-quality education, practical experience, and career opportunities without having to relocate to the capital or study abroad. Projects jointly implemented by the university with the public and private sectors also contribute to the development of innovation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and the employment ecosystem in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
