On July 13, 2026<\/strong>, Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurship Development Association (AWEDA)<\/strong> held a cooperation meeting aimed at fostering students\u2019 entrepreneurial, leadership, and innovation skills. During the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary objective of the meeting, held at Mingachevir State University, was to establish a sustainable partnership between the University and the Association, identify areas of joint cooperation to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of young people\u2014particularly female students\u2014support their innovative initiatives, and better prepare them for the realities of the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening the meeting, Natavan Namazova<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Mingachevir State University, spoke about the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice-Rector emphasized that a modern university should not only serve as a provider of knowledge but also as an open platform where creative ideas are transformed into practical solutions, entrepreneurial and leadership skills are cultivated, and mutual value is created through collaboration with society and the business community. In this regard, partnerships among higher education institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector play a vital role in enriching students\u2019 theoretical knowledge with practical experience and preparing them to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natavan Namazova noted that the partnership with AWEDA would contribute to strengthening the University’s practice-oriented and student-centered education model, supporting young people’s entrepreneurial initiatives, expanding equal opportunities for development, and encouraging the emergence of innovative business ideas in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking afterwards, Mahabbat Ibrahimova<\/strong>, Member of the Board of AWEDA and Adviser on Social Affairs, conveyed the sincere greetings of the Association\u2019s Chairperson, Sakina Babayeva<\/strong>, to the participants and expressed her satisfaction with the establishment of cooperation with Mingachevir State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahabbat Ibrahimova stated that the signed cooperation agreement would play a significant role in unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of young people, enhancing their business and financial literacy, fostering innovative thinking, and preparing them to become responsible, adaptable, and proactive professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was noted that, within the framework of the partnership, the University\u2019s students will benefit from mentorship programs, awareness seminars, practical training sessions, masterclasses, and experience-sharing events focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership. The cooperation will also support the development of students\u2019 business ideas, provide opportunities for successful women entrepreneurs to share their experiences with young people, and facilitate students\u2019 engagement with the Association\u2019s extensive entrepreneurial network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was officially signed between Mingachevir State University and the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurship Development Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement envisages promoting entrepreneurship and innovative thinking, developing joint projects and programs, creating mentorship and internship opportunities, supporting students\u2019 personal and professional development, and strengthening collaboration among the University, society, and the business sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting continued with an exchange of ideas on future joint initiatives, students\u2019 integration into the entrepreneurship ecosystem, support for socially responsible business initiatives, and the implementation of projects that will contribute to the development of the region\u2019s human capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parties expressed confidence that the signed agreement would significantly contribute to transforming young people\u2019s creative potential into practical initiatives, expanding their employment and self-employment opportunities, promoting women\u2019s active participation in economic and public life, and establishing a long-term, results-oriented partnership.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
