“Information Technologies” night at MSU

Mingachevir State University Faculty of Engineering held a Knowledge contest on Information Technology on December 31 – World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. Heads of faculties, heads of departments, professors, teachers and students of the specialty department participated in the event.

The composition of the jury consists of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Vugar Mustafayev, Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Control in Education, Sabina Guliyeva, Head Teacher of Pedagogy and Psychology Department and Head of Specialty Department, Ph.D. Aida Mustafayeva.

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Vugar Mustafayev. Vugar Mustafayev assessed the knowledge competition as an important step in the development of students during the training period, deepening their knowledge on training and vocational training and training as a professional staff. He emphasized that computer engineers and IT professionals have been educated by students in the age when information technology has a great impact on human beings and the society, and who have the latest technology, self-developed, teaching and research that always raises the society at a high level and in particular moral and ethical values. He wished success to the students.

To assess the team’s knowledge, a 5-point assessment system was used, giving each point 1 point.

Hardware competitions of the competitions held; Software (software); Web technology; Themes from multimedia technologies have been identified.

The race consisted of two races. The 4th specialty group of the Information Technology Department has been involved in the competition: IV group – IT15, III academic year – IT16, 2nd academic year – IT17 group and I-year group – IT18.

Hence, two teams from IT16: IT16 (1) and IT 16 (2); IT team 17: IT 17 (1) and IT17 (2) and IT15 from a group of teams from IT15, IT18 are in front of a jury.

The I round consisted of 3 stages and the team of IT16 (2) won.

The IT16 (2) team, IT16 (1) team and IT 17 (1) team are eligible to participate in the final round of the II round. Teams were given 10 questions and 5 minutes were given to answer the questions. Within 5 minutes the teams submitted the questions to the jury in writing. The participants of the event were informed by the results of the jury and the IT16 team (2) won 4 points – I place, IT 16 (1) team – 3 points, and team of IT17 (1) – 2 points – III place. Certificates, prizes and trophies were awarded to the teams.
