A scientific-practical seminar titled \u201cRenewable Energy Sources\u201d was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU), organized by the Department of Physics and Ecology. The main purpose of the seminar was to increase students\u2019 knowledge about renewable energy sources and strengthen awareness regarding the importance of environmentally friendly energy resources and energy security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the seminar, second-year student of the Physics Teaching program Nazrin Hacizade delivered a presentation titled \u201cEnergy Potential of Water Resources.\u201d The speaker informed the participants about the sustainability, environmental friendliness, and multifunctional potential of hydropower, emphasizing that the liberated regions of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are expected to become one of Azerbaijan\u2019s major hydropower centers in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afterwards, first-year student of the same program Ayshe Khanbabayeva presented a report titled \u201cWind as a Renewable Energy Source.\u201d She noted that unlike oil and gas, wind energy is an inexhaustible and free resource. During the presentation, it was also highlighted that more than 80 percent of the global wind energy market belongs to countries such as China, the United States, Germany, India, and Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the seminar, second-year student Laman Aliyeva also delivered a presentation titled \u201cThe Inexhaustible Treasure of the Sky \u2013 Solar Energy.\u201d She noted that solar panels are silent, clean, and widely accessible energy sources. The speaker also provided information about ongoing scientific research, including developments related to transparent solar panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The final presentation of the seminar was delivered by second-year student of the Physics Teaching program Sheker Mayilzade, titled \u201cNon-Traditional Energy Sources.\u201d The speaker informed participants about future energy technologies and the development prospects of alternative energy sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All presentations were received with great interest by the participants, and discussions were held around the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the seminar, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics and Ecology Tarana Yusibova emphasized that such events significantly contribute to the development of students\u2019 scientific outlook and knowledge acquisition. She encouraged students to actively participate in similar academic discussions in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
