On November 30, 2025, the opening ceremony of the newly established \u201cTourism Skills Lab\u201d was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU) for students studying tourism-related specialties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The laboratory was created to support the learning of industry-specific software, including Tayla company\u2019s \u201cElektraWeb,\u201d as well as \u201cOpera,\u201d \u201cHBO,\u201d and other professional systems. It was noted that the establishment of the laboratory was based on discussions held during academic visits to universities in T\u00fcrkiye. In addition, for master\u2019s level students, the \u201cHotel Back Office\u201d system will provide opportunities to learn hotel administration practices, including general accounting, analytical reporting, and PMS (Property Management System) integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary objective of the laboratory is to enhance the practical knowledge and skills of students studying in the field of tourism and better prepare them for their future professional careers. The laboratory is equipped with software simulating real tourism systems, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in guest reception, data management, and hotel operations. Through these platforms, students will be able to learn all stages of hotel service processes\u2014from guest check-in to the automated management of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the laboratory\u2019s activities, hybrid training sessions for faculty members will be conducted by Turkish specialists starting from November 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the university, Anar Eminov, the Group Director of Human Resources at \u201cGabala Hospitality Group,\u201d Bab\u0259k M\u00fcz\u0259ff\u0259rov, as well as members of the academic staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that, based on the memorandum signed with the Tayla company in T\u00fcrkiye, students pursuing higher education in tourism will be able to directly learn hotel reservation systems, service operations, and booking processes through this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
