On January 18, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Chemistry Laboratory was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU). The laboratory, which operates under the Department of Physics and Ecology of the Faculty of Engineering, was inaugurated with the participation of academic staff, students, members of the Public Oversight Council, and representatives of partner industrial enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Congratulating the staff and students on this significant occasion, the Rector of MSU, \u015eahin Bayramov, highlighted the importance of the Chemistry Laboratory in enhancing the quality and content of education. He spoke about ongoing efforts at the university aimed at training highly qualified specialists in engineering fields and expressed confidence that the laboratory would make a substantial contribution to the development of students\u2019 practical knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing gratitude to all those involved in the establishment of the laboratory, the Rector provided information about the technical and practical capabilities of the facility, which was set up within a short period. He also outlined future projects aimed at strengthening the university\u2019s material and technical base as part of its transition toward a modern, next-generation university model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director of \u201cAzerbaijan Thermal Power Plant\u201d LLC, T\u0259hmasib H\u00fcseynov, also congratulated the university community on the occasion, expressing satisfaction with the recent progress in teaching and research at MSU. He emphasized the university\u2019s role in preparing specialists aligned with labor market demands and encouraged students and staff to actively utilize the opportunities offered by the new laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of the MSU Public Oversight Council\u2014\u018fdal\u0259t Quliyeva, Mirs\u0259di Da\u015fd\u0259mirov, and Esmira Hiday\u0259tova\u2014also addressed the event, describing the laboratory as another significant achievement of the university and extending their congratulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further remarks were delivered by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Almaz \u018fliyeva, Head of the Department of Physics and Ecology T\u0259ran\u0259 Yusibova, and associate professors Adil Aslanov and M\u0259hy\u0259ddin Mehdiyev. They expressed their appreciation to the university leadership for the rapid establishment of the laboratory and emphasized that it would be beneficial not only for chemistry but also for physics and ecology-related disciplines. They also highlighted the importance of practical seminars and the opportunities created for the professional development of graduate students, laboratory assistants, and young faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was noted that the laboratory is equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to conduct various experiments, including the preparation of compound mixtures through titration methods, calculation of reaction rates, specialized research activities, and technical as well as scientific experiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the ceremony, students of the Faculty of Engineering demonstrated sample experiments involving chemical reactions and the formation of new solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
