As part of the ongoing awareness-raising activities in the field of natural sciences, another training session was organized at Mingachevir State University. The training, conducted by Natavan Valiyeva, lecturer of the Department of Natural Sciences, on the topic \u201cStrategy for Reducing Plastic Use on Campus,\u201d was aimed at increasing students\u2019 environmental awareness and knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the training, the negative impacts of plastic waste on the environment, particularly its harmful effects on soil, water, and living organisms, were explained in detail. At the same time, the importance of reducing the use of single-use plastic products was emphasized, and detailed information was provided about environmentally friendly and reusable alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the framework of the event, practical approaches for reducing plastic use in the campus environment were discussed. Special attention was given to measures such as raising awareness among students and teachers, increasing the number of water refill stations, installing recycling bins, and implementing internal regulations limiting plastic use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the training, an exchange of ideas was held with participants, and their questions and suggestions were addressed.
