On December 26, 2025, an online masterclass titled \u201cBritish and Azerbaijani Literary Relations and Translation\u201d was organized by the Faculty of Education of Mingachevir State University with the participation of renowned translator, educator, writer, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Professor Shahin Khalili.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event, held via the Microsoft Teams platform, was attended by students majoring in \u201cForeign Language Teaching\u201d and \u201cLanguage and Literature Teaching\u201d at the Faculty of Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the masterclass, Professor Shahin Khalili provided detailed information about the history and stages of development of literary relations between British and Azerbaijani literature, the role of translation in the formation of these relations, and the importance of translation in the development of intercultural dialogue. At the same time, the main challenges encountered in the translation of literary texts, as well as issues of adequacy and equivalence, were explained through practical examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The online masterclass continued in an interactive format, during which students\u2019 questions related to the topic were answered and extensive discussions were held.
