Mingachevir State University is taking another important step toward modernizing the educational process, expanding digital capabilities, and improving assessment mechanisms. Starting from the fall semester of the 2025\/2026 academic year, a total of 15 examinations covering various undergraduate and master\u2019s degree groups will be organized electronically via computers within the framework of a pilot project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beginning from the current fall semester, session examinations in the courses \u201cFundamentals of Programming,\u201d \u201cProgramming Languages-2,\u201d \u201cModern Programming Languages and Technologies,\u201d \u201cComputer Architecture,\u201d \u201cFundamentals of Electronics,\u201d \u201cCircuit Theory,\u201d \u201cSTEM-1,\u201d \u201cSTEM-2,\u201d<\/em> and \u201cInformation Security\u201d<\/em> will be conducted electronically through special software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The electronic examination format makes the assessment of students\u2019 knowledge more efficient, accelerates the processing of results, enables the examination process to be carried out using modern technologies, ensures objectivity and transparency throughout the process, and contributes to the implementation of the university\u2019s digital transformation strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under this format, questions are presented to students on an electronic screen, and they type their answers using a keyboard in text format. The system automatically saves all responses, and once the examination is completed, the answers are compiled into a separate file and submitted to the instructor. Open-ended questions are assessed by instructors through the electronic system within a computer-based written examination model, which both increases operational efficiency during the examination process and ensures transparency in grading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This innovation creates several advantages for students: the systematic presentation of questions and tasks makes the examination process more convenient, the submission and evaluation of answers become faster, results can be announced within a shorter period of time, and students\u2019 digital skills and adaptation to technological environments are further strengthened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the results of the pilot phase are analyzed, the university plans to gradually expand the digital examination model to other subjects and academic programs.
