On June 17, 2026, a meeting was held at Mingachevir State University regarding the transition to a differentiated salary system and the results-oriented assessment of the academic performance of the teaching staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, attended by heads of departments and a group of structural unit managers, the Academic Incentivization and Indexing System \u2013 ASIS platform was presented. It was noted that the asis.mdu.edu.az platform was developed to assess the scientific research, project, innovation, and professional development activities of academic staff based on transparent, objective, and measurable criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A detailed presentation on the functionality of the ASIS platform was delivered by Aziz Amiraslanov, Chief Specialist for Digital Services at the Digital Information Department operating under MDU\u2019s Center for Digital Development and Information Technologies. During the presentation, the mechanisms for registration in the system, data entry, electronic submission of academic performance indicators, and the formation of results through the digital platform were explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was noted that, through the ASIS platform, academic staff members\u2019 scientific articles indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, participation in international and national projects, patent activities, conference materials, textbooks and teaching aids, as well as international language and professional certificates, will be systematically taken into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The implementation of the new system aims to ensure a fairer assessment of academic performance at MDU, increase scientific productivity, foster a healthy academic competitive environment, and strengthen the university\u2019s international scientific visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also stated that, based on the results of 2026, a ranking of academic staff performance indicators is planned to be formed through the ASIS platform. This approach is regarded as a new stage in promoting results-oriented management, digital transformation, and academic excellence at Mingachevir State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
