A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Mingachevir State University and Georgian Technical University, providing for the development of cooperation in education, science, research, and academic exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Memorandum was signed by Anar Eminov, Rector of Mingachevir State University, and David Gurgenidze, Rector of Georgian Technical University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main purpose of the document is to expand academic and scientific cooperation between the two higher education institutions in areas of mutual interest, make joint use of the universities\u2019 existing experience and potential, and establish long-term and sustainable partnership relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the Memorandum, the parties plan to facilitate short-term and, where circumstances permit, long-term exchanges of academic staff, researchers, and technical specialists; develop joint scientific research projects; submit joint project proposals to international funding programmes; and mutually strengthen their research capacity. Student exchange programmes will be implemented on the basis of additional agreements to be concluded between the parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the principal areas of cooperation, particular emphasis is placed on improving the parties\u2019 academic programmes and regularly exchanging information on scientific seminars, conferences, symposia, and other academic events. This cooperation will enable the academic programmes offered by Mingachevir State University in relevant fields to be reviewed and improved in light of Georgian Technical University\u2019s advanced academic experience, modern technological approaches, and labour market requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this regard, the parties envisage conducting a comparative analysis of curricula and course syllabi, integrating modern engineering and technology modules into the teaching process, updating the content of practical and laboratory classes, and organising joint seminars and masterclasses with the participation of specialists. In accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum, the parties will regularly exchange information on education and research programmes, scientific publications, academic materials, and technologies that contribute to the development of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cooperation also provides for the development of joint programmes aligned with the parties\u2019 priority research areas, the involvement of academic staff and researchers in reciprocal teaching and research visits, the publication of research findings, and the expansion of opportunities for joint participation in conferences and symposia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joint activity programmes will be developed in stages, taking into account the parties\u2019 financial and institutional capacities, while specific initiatives will be implemented on the basis of additional implementing documents.
