On March 11, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the Azerbaijan Professional Financial Managers Association (APFM). The memorandum aims to expand cooperation between the university and the professional financial sector and to enhance knowledge and skills in the fields of economics, finance, and accounting.
On the occasion of the signing of the memorandum, a delegation led by Natavan Namazova, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Mingachevir State University, visited the Azerbaijan Professional Financial Managers Association. Within the framework of the meeting, cooperation opportunities between the parties were discussed in a roundtable format, and views were exchanged on training specialists in the fields of finance and business, international certification programs, and the implementation of joint projects.
In her speech, Natavan Namazova noted that cooperation between higher education institutions and professional organizations plays an important role in preparing specialists who meet the demands of the modern labor market. She emphasized that one of the university’s key priorities is to enrich students’ theoretical knowledge with practical skills, support their specialization in accordance with international standards, and increase their competitiveness in the global labor market.
The Chairperson of APFM, Nuriyya Novruzova, emphasized the importance of cooperation with the university for the development of professional knowledge in the fields of finance and business. She noted that collaboration with higher education institutions creates broad opportunities for students to participate in international qualification programs, enhance their professional development, and apply advanced practices in the financial sector.
According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in increasing knowledge in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, and tax legislation, conducting joint research, organizing consultations and expert activities, and facilitating the exchange of information.
Within the framework of the document, it is planned to promote the participation of the university’s faculty members and students in international training and certification programs organized by APFM, involve specialists in international qualification examinations, and share new knowledge and experience in the fields of finance and business. In addition, the parties will cooperate in organizing joint conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions, as well as creating internship and professional development opportunities for students.
It should be noted that the signed memorandum will contribute to the training of highly qualified financial specialists in accordance with international standards, the development of professional knowledge, and the strengthening of cooperation between the university and the financial sector.
