Student Rector

At Mingəçevir State University, the Student Rector is elected from among full-time students in accordance with established regulations for a one-year term. The Student Rector is the highest student representative, representing the interests of the student body.

The Student Rector is one of the key mechanisms ensuring student participation in the university’s governance processes. They represent students’ social, academic, and organizational interests and contribute to ensuring that these interests are taken into account in discussions and decision-making processes.

The Student Rector has the right to participate in meetings of the Academic Council of Mingəçevir State University and other structural units that address student interests. At the same time, within the framework of cooperation with relevant bodies working with youth, the Student Rector performs representative and advisory functions and, within their authority, represents the university and students in relations with other higher education institutions.

The institution of the Student Rector serves the development of student self-governance and promotes increased initiative and active engagement among students.
