Internal University Disciplinary Rules for Students

The internal university disciplinary rules define the standards of conduct, rights and responsibilities of students studying at Mingachevir State University, as well as the disciplinary measures applied in cases of violations of these rules.

General Provisions

The internal university disciplinary rules have been prepared in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and are mandatory for all students from the moment of their admission to the University. The main purpose of these rules is to strengthen academic discipline and to foster a responsible attitude toward the educational process.

Basic Principles

The application of the disciplinary rules is based on the following principles:

  • equality,
  • justice,
  • humanism.

Basic Rights of Students

Students have the right to:

  • receive quality education in accordance with state educational standards;
  • benefit from academic mobility opportunities;
  • participate in the governance and public life of the University;
  • use library and information resources free of charge;
  • take part in research and socio-cultural activities;
  • demand respect for their honor and dignity;
  • submit complaints in accordance with procedures established by law.

Basic Responsibilities of Students

Students are obliged to:

  • comply with the University’s internal regulations and ethical standards;
  • actively participate in the educational process;
  • protect University property;
  • refrain from behavior that disrupts the educational process;
  • avoid actions that may damage the reputation and values of the University.
