A major initiative, considered the beginning of a new era in the field of artificial intelligence in Azerbaijan, is being launched. Within the framework of the strategic partnership established between Mingachevir State University and Holberton School Azerbaijan, the “AI-INDUSTRY Talent Development – Academia–Industry Innovation Bootcamp” and Scholarship Program dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev will be implemented for the first time among universities in the country.
This initiative is not merely a training program but also serves as a new model acting as a bridge between the higher education system and the real sector. The project aims to transform theoretical knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence into practical application, enabling students to face real industrial challenges and develop innovative solutions.
The Bootcamp phase of the program will take place from May 7 to May 18, 2026. During this period, participants will engage in an intensive and practice-oriented learning process, working on real industrial scenarios and applying artificial intelligence algorithms in practice. On May 19, the projects developed by participants will be presented and evaluated during the Demo Day event.
Following the Bootcamp stage, selected participants will continue with a six-month Scholarship Program. During this phase, participants will work directly with the real sector and actively contribute to the implementation of digital and AI-based projects. Thus, the program is not limited to short-term training but also provides a sustainable development and career-oriented practical experience platform.
The main distinguishing feature of the project is its multidisciplinary and application-oriented approach. Students from various specialties will work in teams, gaining the opportunity to transform innovative ideas into product-level solutions. This creates an environment that fosters creativity while enabling the development of flexible and effective solutions to real-world problems.
Within the framework of the program, the primary focus is placed on developing practical skills in artificial intelligence technologies, transforming academic knowledge into industry-oriented innovative solutions, and strengthening the real-world application potential of developed projects. This approach is of particular importance for preparing highly qualified specialists in line with the demands of the modern labor market.
The initiative is also regarded as an important platform contributing to the development of the innovation ecosystem in the country. Expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and international technology schools, as well as promoting knowledge and technology transfer, are among the strategic directions of the project.
In this context, the project carries special significance not only for technological advancement but also for strengthening the country’s human capital, promoting an innovative mindset, and training future technological leaders.
