An Agreement Memorandum aimed at expanding international cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University and one of Türkiye’s leading higher education institutions, Middle East Technical University. On this occasion, a delegation led by MSU Rector Anar Eminov paid a visit to Ankara. During the meeting with METU Rector Ahmet Yozgatlıgil, the parties exchanged extensive views on current challenges in higher education, global academic trends, new models of interuniversity cooperation, and areas of mutual interest.
Ahmet Yozgatlıgil emphasized the significant role of interuniversity cooperation in the global development of science and the sharing of innovative knowledge, noting that the signed Memorandum of Understanding would further strengthen Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations in higher education. MSU Rector Anar Eminov highlighted the international relations policy pursued by the university, stating that sustainable development in science and research has been identified as a priority direction at MSU. He expressed confidence that cooperation with an internationally recognized research university such as METU would significantly contribute to strengthening MSU’s academic potential, implementing joint scientific projects, and creating new international opportunities for students and academic staff.
According to the memorandum, the cooperation will include academic, student, and faculty exchange programs, the implementation of joint scientific research projects, and the development of academic programs.
