Within the framework of the established cooperation between the Mingachevir Regional Tourism Department and Mingachevir State University, a scientific-practical training titled “The Strategic Importance of the Chinese Language in Tourism and Modern Development Prospects” was organized for students majoring in Tourism at the university.

The main purpose of the training was to enhance students’ knowledge of current challenges in the international tourism industry, the global communication environment, the impact of foreign language skills on professional activities, and emerging development trends in modern tourism markets, while broadening their practical understanding of the field.

Representatives of the Mingachevir Regional Tourism Department, as well as MSU lecturers Ziya Gurbanzade and Ali Nadirov, and trainer Vafa Mustafazade participated in the event. As part of the training, comprehensive presentations were delivered on professional communication in the tourism sector, effective interaction in multicultural environments, and the significance of foreign language competencies in improving service quality.

During the training, detailed discussions were held with students regarding the role of the Chinese language in the international tourism industry, the growing position of the Chinese tourism market in the global economy, and the impact of foreign language proficiency on career opportunities and professional development in the tourism sector.

Extensive discussions were also conducted on the strategic importance of communication skills in the modern tourism industry, the increasing role of the Chinese market in global tourism, the significance of language preparedness in global tourism trends, and future prospects in this direction. The event, marked by the active participation of students, concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session and productive exchange of ideas.
