Mingachevir State University Hosts Seminar on “Energy Storage Systems and Development of Battery Technologies”

Mingachevir State University hosted a scientific seminar titled “Energy Storage Systems and Development of Battery Technologies,” jointly organized by the Faculty of Engineering and the Departments of Information Technologies and Energy.

Opening the seminar, Head of the Department of Energy Kamala Ayyubova provided insights into the development prospects of Azerbaijan’s green energy strategy and the application of digital technologies in the energy sector. It was noted that the declaration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur as “green energy zones” marks a new stage in the country’s energy policy and highlights the importance of expanding research in this field.

During the seminar, faculty members and master’s students delivered presentations on current issues in the energy sector. Lecturer Fatma Aliyeva from the Department of Information Technologies emphasized the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources and analyzed the role of modern battery technologies in ensuring energy storage and stable distribution.

Leyla Shukurova presented on the use of environmentally safe and recyclable materials in energy storage systems, noting that such approaches contribute to the development of cleaner, safer, and longer-lasting energy solutions.

Elgiz Mahmudov discussed sustainable energy policy and the future energy model of Azerbaijan, highlighting the importance of ensuring both energy security and environmental sustainability.

Master’s student Sevda Aliyeva from the Department of Energy presented on modern technological innovations in renewable energy systems, providing detailed insights into current advancements in the field.

The seminar also included discussions and exchange of ideas among participants.

The event was attended by academic staff, students, and young researchers.

It should be noted that such scientific seminars make a significant contribution to the development of research in the energy sector, the promotion of innovative ideas, and the encouragement of young researchers’ academic activities.
