An awareness event titled “Improving the Internal Ethical Code and Disciplinary Mechanism Rules” was successfully held at Mingachevir State University.
Unlike the traditional lecture format, the event was organized as an interactive debate and discussion, presented by Sevinc Samedova. It was emphasized that ethical norms are not merely formal rules, but a core element of an internal culture that shapes the path from data to knowledge and wisdom (Data–Knowledge–Wisdom).
During the event, the university’s legal advisor Polad Atayev and lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology Faiq Yusifli delivered speeches, clarifying the legal as well as pedagogical and psychological aspects of the topic. With the active participation of students, discussions were held on the role of internal discipline in individual development and the principles of academic integrity.
The debate, based on real-life case studies, provided students with the opportunity to develop decision-making skills in addressing ethical dilemmas.
It should be noted that such initiatives contribute to building a transparent, well-organized, and ethically grounded academic environment at the university.
