An awareness event on gender equality titled “What It Means to Be a Woman…” was organized at the Mingachevir Youth House on the initiative of the Department of Economics of Mingachevir State University.

The event was delivered by Mehriban Karimova, senior lecturer of the Department of Economics. During her presentation, participants were provided with detailed information about the role of gender equality in society, the importance of women’s participation in social and public life, and the necessity of ensuring equal opportunities.

The main purpose of the event was to increase awareness about strengthening social integration, promoting a gender-equal environment, and preventing discrimination.

Within the framework of the event, discussions were held around the topic, participants’ questions were answered, and the importance of expanding awareness-raising activities in the field of gender equality was emphasized.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University regularly organizes various awareness events aimed at promoting equal opportunities in society, strengthening social responsibility, and fostering an inclusive environment.
