Mingachevir State University Hosts Event Dedicated to February 2 – Azerbaijani Youth Day at the Faculty of Education

An event dedicated to February 2 – Azerbaijani Youth Day was organized by the Faculty of Education of Mingəçevir Dövlət Universiteti.

The event, held on February 2, 2026, at the Heydar Aliyev Center located in the second campus of MSU, aimed to discuss the role of youth in society, their participation in higher education, as well as the promotion of their academic and personal development.

The event was officially opened with an introductory speech by Aygun Gadirova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education.

In her speech, the significant role of Azerbaijani youth in the future of the country was emphasized, and attention was drawn to the state support provided to young people and the importance of education in this process.

Afterwards, Ceyhun Mahmudov, Advisor to the Rector on Educational Organization and Management Issues at MSU, congratulated the participants on the occasion of February 2 – Azerbaijani Youth Day on behalf of the university administration.

A video presentation dedicated to the day was then screened.

During the main part of the event, several presentations were delivered. Nuranə Ələkbərova, a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, delivered a presentation titled “Modern Azerbaijani Youth and Higher Education: The MSU Experience,” providing information about the activities carried out at the university to enhance students’ education, development, and social engagement.

Later, Sahibə Qulizadə, a student of the MT22.2 group, delivered a presentation on “The Impact of Motivation and Support Mechanisms on the Academic and Personal Development of Youth.” The presentation highlighted the role of motivation, proper guidance, and support mechanisms in helping young people realize their potential.

Following the presentations, discussions were held around the topic, participants’ questions were answered, and the opinions of young people were heard.

At the end of the event, a group of students who distinguished themselves in the social life of the university were awarded certificates of appreciation.

It should be noted that a series of events dedicated to Youth Day were held at MSU.
