On March 27, 2026, a service agreement was signed between Mingachevir State University and “Green Blue” LLC on the provision of services related to the efficient management, collection, sorting, transportation, utilization, and recycling of waste generated on the university premises.
The agreement was signed by Gurban Gurbanzade, Head of the Department of Business and Alumni Relations of Mingachevir State University, and Javid Ganbarov, Leading Specialist for Administrative Management at “Green Blue” LLC.
The signed document is of significant importance in terms of strengthening Mingachevir State University’s green campus approach, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and promoting sustainable resource management within the university environment. The agreement will contribute to the more systematic, safe, and environmentally efficient organization of waste management processes at MSU, the preservation of a clean and healthy campus environment, and the expansion of recycling opportunities.
According to the agreement, “Green Blue” LLC will ensure the proper collection, initial sorting, transportation, and direction of waste generated on the university premises to recycling and utilization processes, as well as the provision of necessary organizational and technical services in this field. At the same time, compliance with environmental safety requirements, reduction of negative impacts on the environment, and more efficient use of resources will be taken as key principles in the waste management process.
Within the framework of the document, the parties expressed their interest not only in the provision of services, but also in supporting awareness-raising initiatives aimed at developing environmental thinking among university staff and students, promoting proper waste sorting, strengthening a clean campus culture, and forming green behavior habits.
In recent years, Mingachevir State University has identified sustainable development, environmental responsibility, green campus, efficient use of resources, and social responsibility as among the priority areas of its activities. The initiatives implemented in this direction demonstrate that the university, as a modern higher education institution, is taking an active position not only in education and research, but also in promoting ecological values, public responsibility, and a culture of sustainable development.
The agreement signed with “Green Blue” LLC, as a continuation of this approach, creates new opportunities for cooperation in terms of proper waste management within the campus environment, increasing recycling potential, and developing an environmental responsibility-based management model.
It should be noted that a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of environmentally clean energy, biofuel technologies, and sustainable development had previously been signed between Mingachevir State University and “Green Blue” LLC. The new service agreement, as a practical continuation of that cooperation, will contribute to the university’s green development strategy, environmental management initiatives, and goals aimed at forming a sustainable campus environment.
