Event on “Transition to a Net-Zero Future: Green Economy, Carbon Finance and Sustainable Development” to Be Held at Mingachevir State University

An event titled “Transition to a Net-Zero Future: Green Economy, Carbon Finance and Sustainable Development” will be held on May 12, 2026, organized by the Institute of Sustainable Energy and Regional Development of Mingachevir State University (MSU).

The main objective of the event is to discuss current challenges related to the green economy, reduction of carbon emissions, renewable energy, green finance mechanisms, and sustainable development, as well as to promote scientific and practical approaches in these areas.

The event will take place at the Mingachevir Youth House on May 12, 2026, at 15:00.

The opening speech of the event will be delivered by Ruhiyya Huseynova, Associate Professor and Director of the Institute of Sustainable Energy and Regional Development of Mingachevir State University.

Within the framework of the program, presentations will be delivered on актуал topics such as carbon pricing, emissions trading systems (ETS), green finance mechanisms, green hydrogen economy, energy storage technologies, energy efficiency, circular economy, decarbonization strategies, and digital transformation.

The event will bring together academic staff, students, researchers, representatives of public and private sector institutions, as well as participants interested in sustainable development and green energy issues.
