A training session on “Academic Plagiarism and Scientific Integrity Standards” was organized at Mingachevir State University.
The training was delivered by Ramil Hasanov, Head of the Scientific Research and Innovation Department of the University. During the session, comprehensive information was provided on the nature and types of academic plagiarism, the importance of maintaining ethical principles in scientific research, proper citation practices, and adherence to standards of scientific integrity.
It was emphasized that observing principles of academic honesty, protecting authors’ rights, and accurately referencing sources are essential for ensuring the quality and credibility of research.
Master’s students of the University participated in the training. The session included interactive discussions, where participants’ questions were addressed and practical recommendations were provided.
Such trainings play an important role in fostering academic writing culture among students, promoting ethical research behavior, and strengthening the overall scientific environment of the University.
