A training session on “Soil Pollution: Industrial and Agricultural Sources” was delivered by Shabnam Islamova, a lecturer at the Department of Physics and Ecology of Mingachevir State University.

The training was attended by school students. The main objective of the event was to increase awareness about the causes of soil pollution, its impact on ecosystems and human health, and to promote environmental responsibility among participants.

During the training, detailed information was provided on the effects of industrial waste, chemical substances, and the use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture on soil quality. In addition, methods for preventing soil pollution, sustainable agricultural practices, and environmental safety measures were discussed.

Conducted in an interactive format, the session enabled participants to ask questions, engage in discussions, and gain a deeper understanding of individual responsibility in protecting the environment.
