On April 10, 2026, Advisor to the Rector of Mingachevir State University on Educational Organization and Management Issues Jeyhun Mahmudov and Advisor on Economic Affairs Khagani Jafarov visited Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov during an official business trip to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting held within the framework of the visit, cooperation opportunities between the two higher education institutions were broadly discussed. The parties exchanged views on organizing academic exchange programs, implementing joint scientific research projects, increasing teacher and student mobility, and applying innovative and inclusive teaching approaches.

Within the framework of the meeting, special attention was also paid to expanding opportunities under the “Orhun Exchange Program,” which is considered one of the important cooperation platforms among universities of the Turkic world. Issues related to increasing mutual participation and establishing new cooperation mechanisms in this direction were discussed.

At the same time, the importance of improving the quality of higher education, increasing accessibility, expanding the exchange of knowledge and experience, and strengthening international partnerships was emphasized.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest and implement concrete joint projects in the future.
