A master class within the framework of international academic cooperation was held at Mingachevir State University

At Mingachevir State University (MSU), a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching, expanding the application of modern pedagogical approaches, and developing the professional competencies of future teachers continues.

Within this framework, a master class on the topic “The Role of Pedagogical Techniques in the Development of Professional Competence” was delivered by Dildora Nazarovna Sulaymanova, PhD in Pedagogy and lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and General Psychology of Samarkand State University. The session was conducted within the course “Pedagogy-1” for the DƏ24 and T24 student groups.

During the master class, key aspects such as the essence and structural components of pedagogical techniques, speech culture of the teacher, effective use of gestures and facial expressions, classroom management, and the development of effective communication skills with students were comprehensively explained on scientific and practical grounds. In addition, special emphasis was placed on the application of modern teaching technologies and the role of interactive methods such as discussions, Q&A sessions, and case analysis.

Theoretical knowledge presented during the session was enriched with practical examples, including analyses of real pedagogical situations, which enabled students to better understand and apply the concepts in practice.

The session also included discussions on the essence of the teaching profession and the personal qualities of an educator. It was highlighted that a modern teacher is not only a transmitter of knowledge but also a guide, motivator, and mentor. Key professional qualities such as strong speech culture, adherence to ethical standards, objectivity, fairness, and an individual approach to students were emphasized.

Furthermore, the importance of continuous professional development, openness to innovation, mastery of modern pedagogical and psychological approaches, and effective use of digital technologies was underlined. Creating a positive psychological environment in the classroom, stimulating student engagement, and fostering creativity were also identified as essential indicators of professional competence.

Distinguished by a high level of organization and interactivity, the master class encouraged active student participation, enabling them to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and analyze various pedagogical approaches. This contributed positively to the development of their analytical thinking, independent decision-making, and creative problem-solving skills in pedagogical contexts.

It should be noted that pedagogical techniques are a fundamental component of a teacher’s professional competence and play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. In this regard, the master class significantly contributed to enhancing students’ readiness for future pedagogical activities, shaping their professional outlook, and developing their teaching skills.

Overall, the master class was organized at a high level both theoretically and practically, was met with great interest by participants, and made a meaningful contribution to the advancement of pedagogical knowledge.
