On March 6, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University (MDU) and “Bakı İnşaat Sənaye” OJSC. The document aims to expand university–industry collaboration, enhance students’ practical knowledge and skills, and support the development of workforce training in the construction and industrial sectors.
On the occasion of the signing of the memorandum, a delegation led by MDU Rector’s Advisor Ceyhun Mahmudov visited “Bakı İnşaat Sənaye” OJSC. During the meeting, the parties broadly discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between the higher education institution and the industrial enterprise.
In his remarks, MDU Rector’s Advisor Ceyhun Mahmudov emphasized that training specialists in line with the demands of the labor market is one of the university’s priority directions. He noted that cooperation established between the university and real production environments will significantly contribute to the development of students’ practical skills, the expansion of their future career opportunities, and the preparation of qualified specialists required by industrial enterprises. Mahmudov also highlighted that integrating MDU’s educational and research initiatives with the industrial sector is one of the key directions of the university’s development strategy.
Chairman of “Bakı İnşaat Sənaye” OJSC Ramiz Əhmədov stated during the meeting that various support mechanisms could be implemented for students undertaking internships at the company. He also noted that the company requires qualified specialists in several fields. In this regard, it was emphasized that the cooperation established with MDU will be significant for training qualified professionals from the region and for expanding the company’s activities.
According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in organizing students’ industrial and professional internships, conducting joint seminars and training programs in the fields of construction and industry, facilitating guest lectures by company experts at the university, organizing visits to the enterprise to familiarize students with real production environments, and implementing joint initiatives in science, innovation, and applied research.
It should be noted that the signed memorandum creates an important cooperation platform aimed at strengthening the integration of education and industry, enhancing students’ practical knowledge, and supporting the development of workforce training in accordance with the needs of the industrial sector.
