Scientific-Practical Seminar on Combating Corruption Held at Mingachevir State University

A scientific-practical seminar on “Planned Actions Related to the National Action Plan for 2022–2026 on Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption” was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU).

The main purpose of the seminar was to enhance awareness and knowledge among university staff on anti-corruption measures, transparency, ethical conduct, and legal awareness, as well as to strengthen institutional approaches in this field.

The event was opened by Ramil Hasanov, Head of the Scientific Research and Innovation Department of MSU, who emphasized the importance of combating corruption in public administration, the educational environment, and social relations.

Within the framework of the seminar, several presentations were delivered on different topics. MSU legal advisor Polad Atayev delivered a presentation on “What is Corruption and Legal Mechanisms for Combating Corruption,” providing information on legal regulations and existing approaches in this area.

Later, Huseyn Asgarov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities at MSU and Doctor of Philosophy in Law, delivered a presentation on “Strengthening Zero Tolerance Toward Corruption in Society.” The presentation addressed issues related to raising public awareness, promoting ethical values, and increasing civic responsibility in the fight against corruption.

As part of the seminar, Arzu Alakbarova, Training and Development Specialist at the Human Resources Department of MSU, delivered a presentation on “Conducting Awareness-Raising, Training, and Other Activities Aimed at Increasing Employees’ Awareness of Anti-Corruption Measures.” She provided detailed information on the importance of awareness initiatives and the activities implemented at the university in this direction.

Discussions were held with participants during the event, views were exchanged on the topic, and a video presentation was also demonstrated.

The seminar was met with strong interest from participants and was regarded as an important platform for further strengthening a transparent, responsible, and ethical governance environment at Mingachevir State University.
