A training session on “Social Entrepreneurship and Tackling Inequality” was held at Mingachevir State University.
Organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the main objective of the training was to promote innovative business approaches to addressing social and economic challenges, as well as to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of social entrepreneurship.
During the training, the essence of social entrepreneurship—activities aimed at generating social value alongside profit—was explained in detail. Discussions also covered the identification of social problems and the development of sustainable business models to address them.
Participants were informed about the significant role of social entrepreneurship in reducing poverty, increasing employment, supporting vulnerable groups, and mitigating income inequality.
In addition, key topics such as social innovation, inclusive economic development, access to financial resources, and public–private sector cooperation were highlighted.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University continues to organize such training sessions and awareness-raising initiatives aimed at fostering social responsibility, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurial skills among students, as well as promoting initiatives that create value for society.
