At Mingachevir State University (MSU), the second day of the 3rd International Conference named  “Sustainable Development Strategy: Global Trends, National Practices, and New Targets,” held on December 6–8, 2025, continued with a special workshop on “Achieving Excellence in Scientific Research: Publication Strategies for High-Impact Journals.” The workshop was moderated by Professor Shahriyar Mukhtarov from Vistula University of Poland.

At the event, distinguished scholars and researchers with high h-indices representing leading higher education institutions in Türkiye delivered speeches — Professor Dilvin Taşkın from Yaşar University, Professor Hasan Dinçer from Istanbul Medipol University, Professor Muhammed Deveci from the National Defence University, and Associate Professor Mustafa Tevfik Kartal from the European University of Lefke in Northern Cyprus.

The speakers shared their experiences on topics such as the mechanisms of publishing in high-impact-factor journals, global editorial requirements, methodological rigor, proper journal selection, increasing visibility in citation indexes, and developing an effective academic writing style.

It should be mentioned that the workshop provided an opportunity for faculty members and master’s students of MSU to learn the key aspects of the international publication process and was regarded as an important step toward improving the quality of scientific activity at the university.
