An awareness-raising training on “Campus Sustainability and Institutional Quality” was organized at Mingachevir State University for the university’s structural leaders. The training was conducted by Azad Mirzabayov, Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department.

The session aimed to promote sustainable development principles at the university, strengthen the “green campus” approach, and foster a culture of institutional quality. It was noted that recent initiatives in energy efficiency, environmental awareness, waste management, social responsibility, and sustainable governance are key indicators of the university’s progress in sustainability.

During the event, detailed information was provided on the concept of campus sustainability, international “green university” models, the application of sustainable development goals in higher education institutions, and the importance of sustainability indicators in global university ranking systems. It was emphasized that in modern higher education institutions, quality assurance is not limited to academic performance but also encompasses environmental, social, and governance principles.

The training also covered the role of sustainability indicators in the university’s strategic development, the improvement of internal quality assurance systems, efficient resource utilization, and the enhancement of environmental responsibility.

Conducted in an interactive format, the session included active discussions among structural leaders, with participants exchanging ideas and proposing initiatives to further develop a sustainable and quality-oriented management model at the university.
