A training titled “Green Infrastructure, Public Transport and Optimization of the Urban Ecosystem” was held at the Mingachevir Youth House, organized by the Department of Mechanics of Mingachevir State University.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, Head of the Department of Mechanics Mahir Ismayilov emphasized the significance of such initiatives carried out within the framework of the “Year of Architecture and Urban Planning”, highlighting their importance in terms of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. In his speech, he provided comprehensive information about modern urban planning approaches, the role of public transport in passenger transportation services, and the responsibilities of relevant state institutions in shaping the urban ecosystem.

Within the framework of the training, young lecturer of the Department of Mechanics Qaragoz Karimov also delivered a presentation. He spoke about the causes of traffic congestion in cities, the development of road infrastructure, and the importance of the use of electric vehicles, sharing his insights with the participants.

During the training, modern approaches aimed at maintaining ecological balance in the urban environment, improving the efficiency of transportation systems, and developing green infrastructure were discussed, and participants’ questions were answered.

It should be noted that such informative events organized at Mingachevir State University in the fields of sustainable development, urban planning, and environmental sustainability play an important role in raising awareness among students and young people about modern urbanization challenges and fostering environmentally responsible attitudes and ecological thinking.
